November 17 NEW WEBSITEI will not be updating this site very frequently. I am moving everything to my new website:
Please stop by- there are more features available there, including the ability to buy some of my work, and order commisioned work as well.
Thanks! November 01 "Shop at Work" Craft fair at ACS in Utica, NYRight now I'm gearing up for a craft fair being hosted at my husband's workplace, in Utica NY. They allow thier employees, or representatives of their employees (in this case me for my husband) to have a table to sell things.
So, I"ll be creating an album to show samples of the things that I'll be selling at the craft fair- mostly small things, and some of my dolls that haven't sold elsewhere yet. I'm going to be trying my hand at some jewelery as well! October 23 Kitsune in Japanese GardenThis one is a comissioned piece. Kitsune are Japanese fox spirits, who in legend often take the form of a beautiful woman to marry a young man and be his wife and the mother of his sons. In some legends Kitsune are seen to be mischeviouse tricksters, like their western cousin, Coyote. In others they are wise guardians.
My kitsune will be a blend of fox and human, which does not happen in Japanese folklore, where they are eiher in one form or the other. She is kneeling or sitting at the edge of a koi pond. It will be left to the final moments to determn if she is just watching the koi swimming in their ying/yang reminiscent circle, or if she is poised to disturb their peaceful world with her mischeivious side. September 17 Child Fairy Complete! The child fairy is complete. He ended up with a hat-complete with feather! And he is so delighted with his shiny 2008 penny! His pictures are all loaded and ready for viewing. He'll be auctioned on faebae.com first, and if he doesn't sell there, I'll pop him up in ebay. September 10 FaeBae- alternative to ebayFor other artists, and collectors of fantasy art, there is another auction site to put fantasy art up for auction on- any kind of art, not just sculpts. Paintings, drawings, jewellery, etc. It's just starting up, and for buyers there are no fees, and for sellers there are no fees for the first 60 days, and after that they're very reasonable- much cheaper than ebay! I will be listing some of my stuff there.
